Partnering with Fighting Oligarchy Coalition

In the evening of Monday August 4th we’ll be partnering with the Fighting Oligarchy Coalition, and Progressive Victory  to present and discuss the New Wisconsin Idea. The precise time of the event will be available shortly, but please save the date.

The New Wisconsin Idea is an economic bill of rights that the Fighting Oligarchy Coalition has drafted to promote the following, taken from there website.

1. A Job that provides dignity at work and pays a living wage.
2. Public Education and Childcare that is well-funded, affordable and accessible.
3. A Union, public or private, and collective bargaining.
4. Health Care that is affordable, accessible, and comprehensive.
5. An Environment and a healthy planet that are clean and sustainable.
6. Community Infrastructures that are decent and sustainable including safe, affordable housing, transportation and broadband access.
7. Equitable Access to Capital, investments, financial institutions, and retirement.
8. A Justice System that is fair, restorative, and equitable.
9. Recreation and participation in community and civic life.
10. Life, Self-determination, and freedom from oppressions for all Wisconsinites regardless of documentation status.
